The Bastards of Pizzofalcone 4the plot of the new season
The first of four episodes – titled Musicalready available in preview on RaiPlay – picks up where last season left off. Lojacono (Alessandro Gassmann) has been kidnapped while he was on his way to the wedding of Alex (Simona Tabasco) and Rosaria (Serena Iansiti). He now finds himself in an abandoned hangar, where he was tortured and stunned with narcotics. The one who put the bloody plan into action was Rocco Squillace (Paolo Sassanelli), a long-standing enemy, returned from the past. He is thirsty for revenge for the death of his brother, who committed suicide in prison years earlier, and is linked to an investigation conducted by the inspector.
During his imprisonment, Squillace warns him: he will no longer be able to have contact with colleagues and family. Otherwise he will kill his daughter Marinella (Alessia Lamoglia). So he is abandoned to his fate and essentially begins a life of invisibility. He stages his death and for the policemen at the police station it is a hard blow to take. And in addition to mourning the inspector’s passing, they investigate the murder of the director of a music school.
Alone and in check, Lojacono deals with delusions and the pain of withdrawal. Nonetheless he finds the strength to get back on his feet, but it is a long and tortuous path, at the edge of the law. He is aware that the only ones able to help him are his colleaguesbut he also knows that meeting them or showing up again would expose everyone to enormous risk.
In addition to his daughter, he is determined not to reveal anything to Laura Piras (Carolina Crescentini), the PM with whom he has an up-and-down relationship. He knows that if he were to guess that he is still alive, Squillace would not hesitate to kill Marinella. In the end he gives in and gets help from the Bastards, with whom he starts a secret investigation to frame Squillace. An important challenge, which risks jeopardizing both Lojacono’s family and the very lives of his associates. And the first to give him a hand is the deputy commissioner Luigi Palma (Massimiliano Gallo).
What happens to Palma, Ottavia, Romano and Alex
In The Bastards of Pizzofalcone 4 ample space is also reserved for the other characters. Each of them must deal with a new phase of their life and undergo an evolution. Among all, Palm tree. His story with Ottavia (Tosca D’Aquino) has gone through ups and downs. After mutual reluctance, during the third season Ottavia decided to leave her husband and start a new path with Palma. However, now they understand that their relationship involves a number of responsibilities of no small importance.
Francesco Romano (Gennaro Silvestro) must face the loss of custody of his daughter following his turbulent relationship with his wife Giorgia (Miriam Candurro). It won’t be easy to manage the anger and frustration, but in the end he will become a different man, capable of dealing with himself.
Deputy Commissioner Giorgio Pisanelli (Gianfelice Learnato) and Marco Aragona (Marco Folletto) find themselves experiencing a sui generis coexistence. At a certain point, everyone will feel the need for their own space. In the end, Alex and his wife Rosaria receive an unexpected visit. An episode that creates a crack in their relationship.
The Bastards of Pizzofalcone 4a new success?
The fourth season begins with a major twist. Lojacono is left for dead and his – apparent – exit opens up new dynamics between the other characters. Well, It will be interesting to see how the plot develops once the colleagues discover the truth.
Above all, how will they manage the information, aware of having to keep Laura Piras and, above all, Marinella in the dark. Certainly, we are witnessing a strengthening of the bond between Lojacono and Palma, now very close. And the same happens with the rest of the protagonists, united in the desire to help the inspector.
Since its debut, the series has obtained excellent feedback both in terms of popularity and ratings. Thanks to a compelling screenplay, the skill of the actors and the quality of the product. The Bastards of Pizzofalcone 4 maintains its structure and the twists enrich the plot. And now it is preparing to repeat the success of previous seasons.
