On May 19, Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day, Turkey Youth Taekwondo Provincial Elections were held in a hall in Kayapınar district.
The female athlete, who participated in the auditions, was defeated by her opponent and was eliminated. Coach OB congratulated the winner and then slapped the eliminated athlete in front of the audience.
While the young girl, who was thrown backwards, waited without doing anything, OB also left the mat. Those moments were captured on a spectator’s cell phone camera.
Young athlete Pala said that the slap that his trainer threw at him was caused by a big misunderstanding.

İrem Pala made the following statement about the incident:
“I was in shock, I gave up the match. This is a big conspiracy anyway. They scored the last 10-15 seconds of the match, not the whole of it. I do not accept that my coach showed violence to me in any way. It was a slap that I wanted him to throw. My family is not complaining about this either. “I’m not complaining either, I’m behind my coach. He will come out innocent anyway. I don’t want my coach to be prosecuted in any way. He saw great reactions on social media. It’s all a misunderstanding,” he said.
