Asja and Zoran meet for a blind date in a brutalist-style hotel in Sarajevo where the halls bear the names of Swiss cities. A premise that already says a lot.
She is 45 and the only trauma she remembers, she says, is being bullied at school. “Don’t lie,” he tells her. “Aren’t you Serbian?” she asks.

The Macedonian director (already author of the successful fable against the patriarchy God is a woman and her name is Petrunya) reveals, question after question, the past that unites its two protagonists. And she lets the group of game participants stand as judge, jury and executioner.

In a place where every stone screams the trauma that has marked its inhabitants, the speed date ritual has the flavor of acid and surreal humor which serves to respect it. It’s a true story.

LEGEND:
✦ modest
✦✦ good
✦✦✦ excellent
✦✦✦✦ masterpiece
