The Arabic narrator’s puns make fun of two star players at once.

Last weekend, one of the most entertaining matches of the season was seen in the English Premier League. Liverpool took a 3-0 lead against Tottenham in just 15 minutes, but that by no means meant the game was frozen.
The home team, which lifted its foot on the gas, also gave a chance to Tottenham, who are also aiming for the Champions League. The North London club started a tough phase when the Croatian Ivan Perišić centered the ball from the left side Harry Kanewhich completed what was sure to be Tottenham’s first.
Before the narrow goal, Perišic, who was on the left wing, scored the star center of the red shirts Virgil van Dijk’s completely knotted. He deflected the Dutchman towards the corner flag and turned to the center himself. Van Dijk, one of the world’s best toppers, fell on the grass while spinning.
It was a rare moment for Van Dijk. The British Sun reports that one Arab commentator in particular immediately came up with a new nickname for the star player.

The narrator was of course referring to the captain of Manchester United in the nickname To Harry Maguire, who has been anything but the cornerstone of his team’s defense. United’s most expensive defender of all time has been the target of derision for months and was blamed for United’s failure in the Europa League.

It was not the first time Maguire’s name has been mentioned in an Arabic-language football broadcast. When Bayern Munich was eliminated from the Champions League at the hands of Manchester City, the German club’s defensive line got tripped up by a topper Dayot Upamecano also based on the sound of the nickname from the same narrator.

The name in question survived and has also been used in other Bayern matches. So it may be that Virgil van Maguire will also remain in the minds of the fans at least for the rest of the season.
Tottenham scored two more goals, but Liverpool won Diogo Jotan with a 4–3 overtime hit, which somewhat curbed the attention van Dijk received.
