Ukraine will receive missiles from the UK to counter the Russian Navy in the Black and Azov Seas, Ukrainian Ambassador to the UK, former Foreign Minister Vadym Prystaiko said in an interview with radio “New time”.
“For the first time, our Armed Forces, in particular the Navy, will receive real weapons, missiles, which will finally allow us to oppose something to the Russians in the Black and Azov Seas,” he said.
Prystaiko recalled an agreement previously signed with London, according to which Ukraine will receive a loan of £1.7 billion for 10 years for the construction of eight missile boats, the supply and installation of weapons on existing ships, the acquisition of two minesweepers from the UK and the creation of two naval bases. in the Azov and Black Seas.
