After a week of high temperatures and a typical summer sunthe weather situation in Catalonia has taken a 180 degree turn this Tuesday, and the rains have begun to unload in the community.

The rainfall forecast has made the Generalitat activate the alert of the Inuncat plan due to the risk of intense rains in the eastern half and the southern third of Catalonia. According to Civil Protection, around 20 liters per square meter can be accumulated in just half an hour. The alert will remain until six in the morning this Wednesday.
As of this morning the clouds have been advancing from west to east. The rains will gain intensity and extension at the end of the day.
High danger due to precipitation
The areas most exposed to rain are Baix Ebre, Baix Camp, Berguedà, Ripollès and Osona. The intensity will be weak to moderate, but locally strong and it is also possible that be accompanied by hail or small stoneBesides, it is not ruled out that there is a violent weather episode.
