The AEMET warned of a sudden drop in temperatures and widespread snowfall

The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has announced a sudden drop in temperatures which will last until well into next week, in addition to the arrival of a DANA on Friday, February 24, which will bring unstable weather throughout the country.
Thus, The snowfalls are already being abundant in a large part of Castilla y León, almost at any level. While the maximum temperatures will not exceed 10 degrees in the interior of the peninsula, nor 15-20 degrees in the south of the country. Yes indeed, the AEMET warns: “we are not facing a cold wave” as such, but we are facing a period of lower minimum temperatures than usualwith significant frosts in communities such as Castilla y León, Navarra, La Rioja, Aragón or Madrid.

On Saturday the snowfall will subside in the northwest, but not the cold: temperatures still very low. On Sunday, the rains will begin to reach the southwest of the Iberian Peninsula and the Balearic Islandswhile during the coming week there is a lot of uncertainty.
