The two retail and real estate groups Signa and Central Group are in the process of becoming one of the leading luxury department store groups worldwide. At the end of this month, the cornerstone of the Düsseldorf Carsch house will be laid, another cooperation between the two.

Together, the Austrian Signa Holding GmbH of founder René Benko and the Thai Central Group employ around 130,000 people and, according to the most recently announced figures, were able to generate joint sales of around 18 billion euros in 2020. With acquisitions such as Galeria Kaufhof Karstadt and the KaDeWe Group, they also play a key role in shaping the German retail landscape.
