Tamban Madou– father tells now For The Sun, that it is an arranged marriage. He denies having dated Mané and Tamba before the secret wedding, which took place in Dakar, the capital of Senegal.
Earlier, Nigerian Pulse Sports wrote that Tamba is Mané’s “long-term partner”. According to the Nigerian website Business Day, the couple met in secret.
The father confirms that the couple met when Tamba was 16 years old. The two were introduced to each other by Mané’s manager, who is a friend of Madou Tamba.
– My wife and Aisha visited Mané’s family one day. They met for the first time at that time. Mané probably saw something special in Aisha, the parents appreciated this too. They came to see me, the father says about his daughter.
– They didn’t date because Aisha was so young.
The marriage was already agreed upon earlier, but the wedding was organized only after Tamba turned 18. In Senegal, a woman can get married at the age of 16.
– He agreed (to the marriage) voluntarily when he heard things about Mané. As parents, we gave him the freedom to decide.
The couple received congratulations from, among others, the president of Senegal. Mané currently represents Saudi Arabia’s Al-Nassri at the club team level.
