Mané, who rose to world fame in Liverpool and currently enjoys a high salary in Saudi Arabia, is 31. Tamba is 18.
Nigerian Pulse Sports writes that the teenage girl is Mané’s “long-term partner”. In Senegal, it is not unusual for marriages to be planned even before the age of majority.
A Senegalese woman can get married at the age of 16. Nigerian Business Day website according to reports, Mané met Tamba when he was 16, but did not want to officially approach him at that age. Instead, they met in secret.
The footballer is said to have taken care of his spouse and paid his bills while he was at school.
Tamba is the daughter of a Senegalese architect. He was born near the village where Mané grew up.
