The 2023 beauty trends, from bodycare to make-up

Land forecasts on beauty trends for 2023? Many and interesting. Feeling good in your own skin, building natural looks with ever more performing products, wearing make-up for fun. But most of all take care of yourself and your body, which remains the foundation.

Beauty 2023: the trends for the coming year

It will be a year where the concepts of simplification, minimalism and well-being will triumphat least according to what emerges from TikTok and from the runways.

1. Bodycare, the triumph of body care

It’s the strongest trend, at least according to TikTok. 2023 sees the triumph of bodycare: after years in which the face has always been in the foreground, things could change with the new year.

There are many brands that are in fact expanding their bodycare lines with the aim of making the body care a constant focus all year roundnot only in the classic pre-summer period.

Masks designed for specific areas, hi-tech devices to take care of more specific areas such as buttocks and breasts, highly targeted creams and serums thanks to ad hoc formulations: theBeauty has (re)discovered the body.

2. Self care first of all

The resulting trend is broader: imperative take complete care of yourself. Finding (especially) the time to do it. Carving out moments for yourself, to relax, counteract stress and dedicate yourself to yourself is part of large global wellness movement born as a result of the pandemic, who brought themselves back into the spotlight.

3. Minimal and quality skincare

Simplify: this is another watchword in the beauty routine 2023. Even if you will find more time to dedicate to yourself, skincare and bodycare will begin to reduce unnecessary steps and waste.

In short, putting aside the multistep Korean beauty routines, we will rediscover ourselves more minimal and faster, with a maximum of four products, which can be considered more than sufficient. Accomplices ever more performing formulas, truly natural and safe, attentive to the environment.

4. Little make up: more concealer, less foundation

The make-up artists have also tuned into this desire for simplification, sending a parade of almost total nude looks onto the catwalks of the next SS 2023. And here’s another diktat: remove instead of adding, so as to enhance the skin as it really is, naturally.

Fewer filters, fewer standards of rarefied beauty, so much so that the classic foundation many very young girls now prefer only concealer where it is needed. The goal is hydrated and luminous skin because it is healthy, without tricks or deceptions. Nothing else.

5. Full of glitter

The make-up remains a creative tool. And the funniest side of him is not forgotten. If there is a desire for color, to dare, in other words to play?

The answer is another trend: glitter. In the new year, sequins and iridescences will be the protagonists of the make-up. They are applied on the eyelids or in a very thin line instead of the classic eyeliner, as the Tory Burch fashion show teaches. And we’re back to Gen Z, like the very young.

Or again, for those who really want to dare, they are applied to the eyebrow arch. Experiments aside, a touch of glitter in all this minimalism can only do you good.
