Directions
Getting to the arena is pretty straightforward. The address of the Barclays Arena is: Sylvesterallee 10, 22525 Hamburg.
However, Sylvesterallee will be closed on event days. If you want to travel by car, you should instead enter these addresses into your navigation system and allow around half an hour to an hour extra due to the high demand for parking spaces:
- Hellgrundweg 50, parking spaces RED, GRAY and the VIP parking lot BLUE
- Schnackenburgallee 112, parking spaces WHITE and YELLOW
The parking spaces cost around nine euros.
The However, the organizer points this outthat it is advisable to use public transport. These tend to get very full on event days, which is why extra time should be allowed for here too. Visitors have the following options here.
- With the S-Bahn: From the main station take the S3 towards Pinneberg or the S21 towards Elbgaustraße to the Stellingen/Arenen stop. From there you can either take the shuttle bus or walk to the arena in 10 to 15 minutes.
- By bus: Take line 22 (S-Blankenese – U-Kellinghusenstr.) to the “Hellgrundweg/Arenen” stop or take line 180 (S-Holstenstr. – S-Stellingen – Arenen) to the “Am Volkspark” stop.
All Barclays Arena event tickets include a ticket for all means of transport operated by the Hamburger Verkehrs Verbund (HVV) for the entire day of the event.
Weather
The weather in Hamburg is currently not that bad by northern German standards. There isn’t much sunshine forecast for the day of the event – but it’s not expected to rain either, although a few short showers are possible. If you plan to wait a long time outside the arena or walk there, you should consider packing an umbrella as a precaution. The temperature on March 5th will be between 5 and 10 degrees, but a light wind can make it cool, so you should definitely take a thick jacket with you.
