It started by accident…
“Gert, how nice that I can come and sit with you during the holiday.” These were Samson’s first words on Flemish television. Gert Verhulst worked as an announcer in 1989 and developed children’s programs together with puppeteer Danny Verbiest. He created Samson for the Christmas holidays and that turned out to be a great success. After a year, the duo got their own show and children could enjoy short adventures of Samson and Gert between cartoons.
