That’s why the AfD overtook the Greens

Survey shock for the eco-party!

For the first time since 2018, the right-wing populist AfD is ahead of the Greens. This was the result of a survey by the opinion research institute INSA for BILD am SONNTAG.

In the Sunday trend, the AfD comes to 16 percent, which is one percentage point more than in the previous week. The Greens lose a point and only get 15 percent.

INSA boss Herrmann Binkert explains: “The SPD is clearly the strongest force left of center. That weakens the Greens because it puts their claim to leadership into perspective.”

The pollster analyzed BILD: “The concrete political solutions proposed by the Greens, whether it is about phasing out combustion engines, the ban on installing gas heaters, etc., do not convince the majority of voters.”

▶︎ In plain language: Due to the bans and shutdowns promoted by the Greens, they are now switching themselves off!

Germans have no desire for prohibition politics

Because: The majority of Germans are NOT behind the ban policy of the Greens.

► Most recently, two-thirds (67 percent) of Germans spoke out in the ARD Germany trend AGAINST the planned phasing out of combustion engines from 2035, which was being driven by the Greens.

The majority of Germans also reject the party’s entire anti-car policy. Even Green voters are mostly against it. This is the result of an INSA survey for BILD: 63 percent of the Greens voters are against the number of car parking spaces in their place of residence being significantly reduced. Among all German citizens it is even 67 percent (instead: 22 percent).

► And the heating hammer of Economics Minister Robert Habeck (53, Greens) is not well received by the voters.

According to a “Stern” survey, 79 percent of Germans are against the planned ban on oil and gas heating. Only 18 percent think the plan is right.

► In addition: The Greens are largely responsible for the nuclear power plant from April. The FDP has now given up the fight for nuclear power. Although only 29 percent of Germans want nuclear energy to be “not used at all anymore”.

The overwhelming majority of 71 percent wants to continue using nuclear power (“more”, “like now” or “less”) – contrary to what was decided by the traffic light. This is the result of a study by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation.
