That’s why Morrissey had to cancel nine concerts

The singer is currently in Zurich – he will not attend the next planned gigs.

Former The Smiths singer Morrissey has had to cancel all remaining concerts on his current tour due to health problems. He announced this news on January 26th on his Instagram account. A total of nine appearances were canceled, two in California and seven in South America.

Medical treatment due to physical exhaustion

The 64-year-old is currently in Zurich and is expected to stay there for at least two weeks longer as he had to seek medical treatment due to physical exhaustion. Morrissey was supposed to be on stage in California on January 26th and 27th, with shows scheduled in South America between February 3rd and 24th. Even though a majority of these gigs are after the two-week period, all of the concerts are on his website marked as canceled.

The reason for the tour was the 20th anniversary of his record YOU ARE THE QUARRY, which includes some of his biggest hits such as “First of the Gang to Die”, “Let Me Kiss You” and “Irish Blood, English Heart”. It is not yet known whether he will repeat the performances in the future.
