That’s why Millie Bobby Brown wants Stranger Things to be a little more Game of Thrones

Horror, 80s nostalgia and secret government plans: “Stranger Things” is now a mix of several genres and with a cast that grows every season. That’s too much for Eleven actress Millie Bobby Brown. The show runners must finally let characters die, she demands.

Millie Bobby Brown voiced her — perhaps not entirely serious — criticism in an interview with her co-star Noah Schnapp (Will Byers). When asked what the two wanted for the fifth and final season, the actors agreed. The show must be like “Game Of Thrones” and reduce the number of characters.

“After I told the Duffer brothers to kill me, they tried to kill Hopper and then they brought him back. It’s ridiculous,” Millie Bobby Brown complained. The show makers are “sissies”.

“This is Hawkins, not Westeros”

Matt and Ross Duffer take the criticism with humor. “What did Millie call us? wimps? She’s really funny,” they commented on a podcast. You have explored all possibilities while writing and “Stranger Things” is not “Game Of Thrones”.

“This is Hawkins, not Westeros,” the duo said, recalling Nancy’s friend Barb, who was the series’ first casualty. When a character dies, it has to be dealt with first. Nonetheless, the brothers promised that there might be shortfalls for some characters in the future.

End after the fifth season

The final two episodes of Stranger Things season four were released on Netflix on July 1. According to the Duffer brothers, the mystery series will be over after season five. “You just have to say – yes, that’s it, that’s true for me, that’s inevitable. That’s the way it has to be.” Until then, the duo can rest on their laurels – the first part of the fourth season already broke several records.
