In the GT World Challenge Europe 2022, Valentino Rossi in the Wrt team will be joined by the Swiss Nico Müller in the Endurance races, and by the Belgian Frédéric Vervisch in the endurance and Sprint races.
The Wrt team makes official the crews that will be at the start of the competitions in the 2022 season. Alongside Valentino Rossi in the GT World Challenge Europe, on the Audi R8 Lms GT3, there will be the Belgian Frédéric Vervisch (both in Endurance and Sprint races) and the Swiss Nico Müller, who completes the trio of riders – all with Pro licenses – competing in the five Endurance races. The GT World Challenge Europe championship includes a total of ten races, equally divided between the Endurance Cup (first round in Imola on the weekend of April 3) and the Sprint Cup (which includes the appointment in Misano Adriatico on July 3).

Valentino Rossi in the 2022 season makes his debut in the GT World Challenge Europe with the Audi R8 Lms GT3 lined up by the Belgian team Wrt: the German supercar will have the number 46, renewing the tradition of the 43-year-old from Pesaro. Alongside the nine-time world champion with the bikes, two Audi Sport official riders. Companions in this new adventure for the Doctor of Tavullia are Vervisch, a 35-year-old Belgian, considered one of the top specialists in both Touring cars (with top experience in the Fia Wtcr series) and Gran Turismo cars. The Belgian from 2014 was the protagonist of the GT World Challenge championship, the first season with McLaren, then in the following seasons with Audi colors. Another prominent driver is the 30-year-old Swiss Müller, one of the most appreciated talents on an international level for racing with GT cars in different series, including Dtm, where he competed between 2014 and 2021. Müller, who has all ‘active experiences also in Formula E (17 starts and a podium), at the end of 2021 it was made official among the professional drivers who will be part of the Audi program for endurance competitions with the new LmdH platform, where the Stuttgart manufacturer is expected to debut from 2023.
