That’s what the conversation between Lewandowski and Xavi was about

It is known that Robert Lewandowski last met with Barça coach Xavi. Details of the conversation have now been made public.

Robert Lewandowski wants to leave Bayern Munich. However, the club bosses around Oliver Kahn and sports director Hasan Salihamidzic are only ready to negotiate with FC Barcelona if the offer for the transfer fee is 50 million. According to “Sport Bild” this is not the case at the moment. Barça currently offers 40 million euros plus 5 million euros in bonus payments.

In addition, it was recently announced that Lewandowski had confirmed his desire to change with FC Barcelona coach Xavi (read more about this here). Both were on vacation in Ibiza, allegedly met there according to information from the magazine. As the Spanish newspaper “AS” writes, the conversation should have been about family matters. In the end, Lewandowski is said to have said to Xavi: “I really want to train with you.”

Barça president grateful for Lewandowski’s interest

The interest is mutual. At least, Barca President Joan Laporta said of the forward: “Robert Lewandowski is a Bayern player and I would prefer to keep the situation calm. But we are very happy that he wants to come to Barca. We just want Saying ‘thank you’ for wanting to come to Barcelona.”

But: For this, the issue of the transfer fee must be clarified. Ex-Bayern President Uli Hoeneß is not very optimistic. He explained last week at a congress in Aachen: “The way things are in Munich, which I’ve heard in several conversations, Barcelona can actually save themselves further offers.”
