That’s what Flick and Klostermann say about the German “Endspiel”

All or nothing: The German national team must win against Costa Rica in the last World Cup group game on Thursday (from 8 p.m. in the sport.de ticker) in order to prevent the second preliminary round elimination after 2018. Before what was probably the most important game in the Hansi Flick era, national coach and Leipzig defender Lukas Klostermann answered journalists’ questions.

From the point of view of the four-time world champion, the calculation before the last World Cup group game of the German national soccer team is very simple: If the team does not win against Costa Rica, this World Cup also ends after the preliminary round.

Even with a win, the DFB-Elf is not safe, but the chances would increase significantly with a threesome. You can find out exactly how the national team’s World Cup calculation looks here -> This is how Germany gets to the round of 16

Before the decisive game against Costa Rica on Thursday, national coach Hansi Flick and defender Lukas Klostermann from RB Leipzig will answer journalists’ questions.

Lukas Klostermann’s personal details caused some discussions in the run-up to the World Cup. The RB Leipzig defender, who had been injured for a long time, made it into the World Cup squad although he had not played in a competitive game since the beginning of August due to a torn syndesmosis ligament.

The fact that Flick thinks highly of the 26-year-old was shown not least in the second group game of the German team against Spain on Sunday evening. With the score at 0:1, national coach Klostermann came on as a right-back for Thilo Kehrer in the 70th minute.

How does Klostermann assess his chances of another World Cup appearance? And what will be important for Germany against Costa Rica? The answers will be available live from 1:30 p.m. on sport.de.
