That’s how unfair the NFL travel schedule is

The schedule for the upcoming NFL season is set. The teams can already book hotels and flights. Striking: Some teams sit in the plane much longer. The NFL schedule is so unfair.

The Seattle Seahawks are the frequent flyers of the 2023/2024 NFL season, they have to fly more than 50,000 kilometers across the country. The team travels through 36 time zones, annoying for players and team.

Second place is also up in the air. The San Francisco 49ers also have to cross 36 time zones. The team flies a total of 48,000 kilometers across the USA. For comparison: the earth has a circumference of 40,000 kilometers.

Superbowl champion and defending champion Kansas City comes in eighth on the travel list. 30 time zones sap the football pros.

Superbowl finalists and last season’s NFC East winners, the Philadelphia Eagles, fly an impressive 17,000 miles (16 time zones).

32,000 kilometers difference

On the other hand, the Cincinnati Bengals around superstar Joe Burrow (26) are lucky to travel. Wacky: You “only” have to sail almost 19,000 kilometers through the USA and cross comfortably twelve time zones. A whopping 31,00 kilometers less than the Seahwaks. The Bengals just missed the Superbowl final last season.

The Green Bay Packers (19,000 kilometers, 16 time zones), the Chicago Bears (20,000 kilometers, twelve time zones) and the Carolina Panters (20,000, twelve time zones) are taking it easy.
