Tiihonen has been growing his housing portfolio over the years.
– I have four apartments in the center of Stadi. There are 11 in Lahti, and then I have hall shares and downtown business premises. They (the business premises in the city center) have been what I have liked to use lately, says Tiihonen.
Tiihonen’s plans do not include turning business premises into apartments.
– I have noticed that the tenants of commercial premises are longer-term and the return rates are clearly higher, Tiihonen said compared to residential investments.
The business premises are brick-and-mortar premises.
According to Tiihonen, the business premises are in good locations, so it would be special if no use could be found for them.
About half of Tiihonen’s investments are in real estate and half in other investments.
– I want my investments to be a passive income stream. You have to try to make them as passive as possible. I have a person who manages the real estate portfolio, I have an asset manager who manages the stock portfolio. I’ve tried to delegate these things so that I really feel passive.
