showbizWith the Eurovision Song Contest in Turin in sight, Vanessa Chinitor (45) looks back on her participation with ‘Like the Wind’, twenty-three years ago. “I am still proud of that,” says the singer who will celebrate her tenth wedding anniversary with musician and comedian Dirk Bauters (61) in the summer. “I hope that the worst of the corona crisis is now behind us. There needs to be some seed in the tray again.”

Twenty-three years ago, Vanessa stood on the Eurovision stage in Jerusalem in her graceful red designer dress. ‘The Flemish Grace Kelly’ co-commentator Bart Peeters called her at the time. Vanessa ended up in a creditable twelfth place with ‘Like the Wind’.
