That’s how it goes with Glenn Claes, the first winner of ‘The voice of Flanders’: “My own fault that my debut album was released 3 years too late” | Music

During his conversation with Sven and Anke, Glenn mentioned that he no longer works as a plumber at the moment. He started his own company just under four years ago. “I do kit work and plaster work. I can really lose my egg in that,” says Glenn. The ex-Voice winner hasn’t completely given up singing yet. Glenn, for example, still regularly sings at weddings or receptions.

According to Claes, the fact that we haven’t heard from him for a long time after his victory is also partly his own fault. “It is my own fault that my debut album was released 3 years too late,” said the singer during his conversation with Anke and Sven. According to Glenn, his inexperience at the time threw a spanner in the works. At the time Glenn Claes won ‘The voice of Flanders’, he was only 22 years old. “At that moment I just thought: ‘that’s how it should be and that’s how it will be’. I should have gone with the flow a little more.” Glenn would like to make music more often in the future, preferably in Dutch. “At the moment I also have two demos ready.”
