Marco Borsato is finally prosecuted for indecent assault on an underage girl and, despite the fact that it has been going on for so long, it has still hit the Dutch celebrity kingdom like a bombshell. Were you running out of patience? Surely he would return to the stage again? Well no. According to the Public Prosecution Service, there is so much evidence against the singer that he will be brought to justice.
Marco’s fingers
The sexual offense Marco is being tried for is indecent assault on an underage girl, but how far exactly has he gone? Yvonne Coldeweijer, who has proven several times that she is quite close to the fire, shares on her today juicechannel an intense detail. According to her, he really went a lot further than a little caressing.
Yvonne: “His lawyers announced to the media yesterday that they would like to submit a file with 29 witness statements from people who say it concerns libel and slander. I don’t think these 29 people were there when he touched her genitals with his fingers.”
Enough evidence
Like this. If that’s true, then that’s obviously terrible. “That is also the reason that the Public Prosecution Service does not want to process these 29 statements at this time. The Public Prosecution Service has enough evidence to prosecute this pure criminal offense. The sexual abuse. That stands on its own.”
Will this case be even worse than the one against Thijs Römer? “I think this is worse than what Thijs Römer did. This lawsuit will take on more dimensions than the one involving Thijs’ dirty apps. Also because Marco launched a very nasty counterattack.”
Audio tape
It has been known for some time now that there would be a very incriminating audio tape on which Marco would make an admission of guilt. Yvonne calls this ‘the most convincing evidence’. “When the girl’s mother, who had worked for Marco for 25 years, read her daughter’s diary (also evidence), she almost immediately went to Marco.”
To confront him. “His response was recorded and the Public Prosecution Service considers what he said to be proof that he did indeed do it. Because of that conversation and Marco’s words, the mother also resigned (she worked for him, ed.). This can apparently also be heard in the conversation. Just realize how big this is.”
In therapy
Celebrity friends really cannot pretend that nothing is wrong, Yvonne concludes. “After the confrontation with the mother, Marco and the girl went to therapy a number of times, because she saw him as a father figure and he took advantage of that. That’s really very confusing and traumatic for a teenager. 😣”
“He also supported her in this, under the guidance of therapists. Maybe he didn’t fully realize that she didn’t want the touching. But she was 15, so he should have kept his paws to himself anyway.”
Experts expect that the case against Marco will not start until the end of next year at the earliest.
