The American Joe Scally from Bundesliga club Borussia Mönchengladbach is surprised at some customs in Germany.
“People always stop here at the traffic light when it’s red – even if there’s no car in sight. I don’t know that, in New York everyone just crosses the street when it’s red,” said the 19-year-old in the Interview with “RP Online”.
Scally also wonders about the rules in the supermarket: “Here in Germany you don’t just get a shopping cart, you always have to put money in it, that’s strange. Why is that? I don’t want to take a shopping cart home with me.”
