“That little countess is a dime a dozen!”

Eloise van Oranje has become a star influencer purely thanks to her blue blood, but will her fame last? Or will that fade faster than she thinks? “Thirteen in a dozen!”

The royal family has had an influencer in their midst for years: Eloise van Oranje. Thanks to her famous surname, she barely has to lift a finger to rake in a fortune. She spends her carefree days with cliché influencer types like Robbert Rodenburg, the bestie by Anna Nooshin.

A dime a dozen

Eloise is now back in the LINDA with a whole interview, a double conversation with Henry van Loon. Is this lady starting to believe a little too much in her own star status? Because what does she actually add?

Story boss Guido den Aantrekker now comes up with a sneer packaged as a warning. “Hopefully the darling doesn’t start to believe in himself too much. Eloise is probably sweet and sociable, a dime a dozen, but the media likes to smear her as a nice, rebellious Orange Countess with the appearance of a naughty student. And suddenly you’re forgotten.”

Countinfluencer

Oops, a dime a dozen Countess? Guido is quite loose X, but of course Eloise doesn’t want to be called that. Influencer then? “No. Well, actually I am an influencer, but I think it’s such a stupid word. I keep trying to find a different term for it,” she says.

She continues in the latest LINDA: “I just have to admit it, because I have more than four hundred thousand followers, so I do influence. But if you are also called a ‘grave influencer’… That’s normal cringe.”

Climate problem

Eloise also wants to use her influence to alert her followers to serious problems, she says. So in between all the photos of her plane trips, she also draws attention to the climate problem. “One hundred percent, because I am aware of the fact that I have such a large platform. I want to do more with that than just post some nice photos.”

She concludes: “I mainly post those things because it plays such a big role in my life. Climate issues, sustainability. I think that’s important. It is part of who I am and it is nice that I can say something about it every now and then.”
