‘That Frans Timmermans is insane!’

It cost Gerard Joling dearly that he spoke out against GroenLinks-PvdA on national television. According to the TV millionaire, it is a nonsense that the left-progressive party of Frans Timmermans wants to levy 60 percent income tax in our country and skim 5 percent of the wealth of rich people every year.

How are you?

After this fierce criticism from Gerard, he was thrown under the bus in the BNNVARA hit Even Tot Hier. They even included some questionable videos from his past in an attempt to smear the entertainer. That did not work. In fact, the action seems to have blown up a bit in the faces of Jeroen Woe and Niels van der Laan.

Gerard does not qualify his opinion. He was in the talk show by Beau van Erven Dorens and although he is not asked about the Even Tot Hier attack, the host does confront him with the polls. GroenLinks-PvdA is not exactly doing it wrong in this regard. “Gerard, how is your heart?” said Beau.

Emigrate

Gerard responds cheerfully. “My heart is doing really well.”

Beau: “Because you were here two weeks ago and then you said: ‘If Timmermans, i.e. GroenLinks-PvdA, becomes the largest, then I will emigrate.’”

Gerard adheres to this: “Well, that will happen. Look, it is of course very exciting. I don’t want to think about a left-wing cabinet, but that’s just personal.”

60 percent

Why does Gerard hate Timmermans’ plans so much? “That’s also because… I’ve been in show business for forty years. Just a singer. I pay my taxes properly. If I have to pay even more… And then you can say: should those artists start complaining, you have enough, right?

He concludes: “Of course I have enough! But if it really goes to 60 percent… Guys, that’s not possible, is it? That man is insane. We absolutely shouldn’t do that. And that applies not only in my industry, but in many other industries. Look, guys: I am a sole proprietorship, but I do employ people.”

‘Vote left!’

And Gerard fears that all this activity will go to waste if the left becomes big in this country. In the meantime, many of his celebrity colleagues do advise voting for Timmermans. For example, Katja Schuurman says on Insta: “My voting advice: vote strategically this time! And that is now: GroenLinks-PvdA.”

As long as it’s not right-wing, according to Tim Hofman’s girlfriend. This Lize Korpershoek has even tried to convince her right-wing mother: “I am presenting her views on this party, and she says: ‘Oh yes, that doesn’t sound good.’ But ‘the habit’ of voting for this party continues to weigh more heavily.”

She still hopes to convince her mother: “Anyone have any tips or experiences?”
