Since 2010, actress Scarlett Johansson, 38, has played Black Widow, or Natasha Romanoff, in the superhero movies of the Marvel universe.

Johansson’s first appearance as Black Widow was seen in the film Iron Man 2, after which he has appeared in the same role in no less than eight films. Black Widow’s own film was released in 2021. The film was delayed due to the corona pandemic.

Now Johansson talks about Gwyneth Paltrow’s recent podcast of The Goop Podcast in the episode that he no longer intends to continue in his role.

– I’m ready to quit. That era is over now. I did everything I had to do. The fact that I returned to play the role again and again for more than a decade was a unique experience, he says.

Paltrow has also starred in Marvel superhero movies as Polly Perkins. The 50-year-old actor previously told Variety that he believes he is too old to play a superhero. He said he was pleased that he accepted the role at the time.

Johansson has also acted in films The horse whisperer, Lost in Translation and The Girl and the Pearl Earring.
