‘That boy is clearly a wreck’

Angela de Jong finds it very doubtful that Humberto Tan had Bilal Wahib’s now 15-year-old victim in his talk show yesterday. “That boy is clearly a wreck.”

Humberto Tan’s interview with 15-year-old Leonardo, who two and a half years ago was the victim of a disgusting prank by Bilal Wahib in which he pulled down his pants, arouses mixed feelings. Many people think it is clever that he tells his story, but many others wonder whether this helps him at all.

‘He’s a wreck’

Angela de Jong, opinion diva of the AD, is also very critical. According to her, there is a reason that Leonardo has never appeared on a talk show, she writes in the newspaper. “That boy is a wreck. Is burdened by the shame of what he did to his parents, has lost his best friend, is bullied, had suicidal thoughts.”

Angela is very touched by how Leonardo was there. “On edge, shaking, breathing, on the verge of tears, searching for words, pausing every now and then to collect herself and take a sip of water.”

Huge bags under the eyes

Leonardo also had big bags under his eyes and Angela thinks that is because he had not slept for ‘nights because of this interview’. Still, he wanted to do it to warn other children. “But I did wonder who had told him and his parents that nonsense.”

It doesn’t help at all to stir everything up, she thinks. And Angela finds the fact that he was there with ‘two so-called coaches’ even more dubious. “Those men just saw a good PR moment for their courses, I’m afraid.”

Fallen for it

Angela thinks that boy has been used and that Humberto should never have let him take a seat at his talk show table. “Poor Leonardo has fallen for something again after 2.5 years.”
