Record for Müller
Thanks to the 3-1 win against Borussia Dortmund, FC Bayern secured their 10th championship in a row. This makes the team coached by Julian Nagelsmann the first club to have achieved this feat in one of the five major European football leagues. The goals for the record champions were scored in front of 75,000 spectators in the Allianz Arena by Serge Gnabry (15th minute), Robert Lewandowski (34th) and Jamal Musiala (83rd) – Emre Can (52nd) made it 2-1 in the meantime.
With a twelve-point lead over Westphalia three games before the end of the season, Munich can no longer be dislodged from the top spot. FC Bayern now holds the sole record for the longest title streak in the top leagues – previously they were on a par with Juventus Turin. Thomas Müller also set a record, winning the Bundesliga championship for the eleventh time.

National coach Hansi Flick, who led Bayern Munich to the title last season, is one of the first to offer his congratulations: “FC Bayern is once again the measure of all things in the Bundesliga. The tenth championship in a row is an outstanding success for the club, the team and the many fans. I am particularly happy for my fellow coach Julian Nagelsmann, his staff and our national players. The German championship is the most honest title and the basis for further success. Every title win gives self-confidence – and hopefully for our national players also tailwind for the upcoming tasks in the UEFA Nations League and as a highlight at the World Cup in Qatar.
