Seven-year-old Makar lives in Mariupol, the Ukrainian port city that is almost completely in the hands of Russia. His mother posted a video of her son on Instagram. In it, little Makar shows his house. They had to reshoot the video five times. “There were gunshots outside and it scared him. He was a bit confused, but he did it anyway,” the mom wrote. “My Makar is a real hero.” Alisa (4) is also still in Mariupol. She’s been in a bomb shelter for weeks. “I want to go home,” the girl says in a video.
