Fenerbahçe Club has issued a thank you message for Daniel Castellani, who left his job as the head coach of the yellow-dark blue men’s volleyball team due to health problems.
In the statement made by the club, it was stated that the 61-year-old Argentinian coach wanted to continue his treatment in his country due to the health problem he experienced, and the following statements were used:
“Our club has decided to support our coach in this decision. He achieved the success of 1 CEV Challenge Cup, 2 Turkish League, 1 Super Cup and 1 Turkish Cup championships under our roof in the three periods he served in 2011-2012, 2013-2015 and 2021-2023. We sincerely believe that our teacher, who adds great value to our branch, will get through this process in the best way and that our paths will cross again in good and healthy days. We thank our teacher for all his efforts for our club, emphasize that we are with him and wish him a speedy recovery.”
In the statement, it was noted that assistant coach Kerem Eryılmaz will serve as head coach and Mert Karatop will serve as assistant coach for the remainder of the season.
