Meanwhile, a second train departed from Paris. The stranded travelers were able to board that train around 7.30 pm. A Thalys spokesperson says the doors of the train, which suffered a technical problem, were opened. The travelers have been given water, because it is another scorching hot Sunday. The doors were opened, according to the spokesman, because one of the travelers became unwell.
Earlier this week, more than 200 passengers had to spend the night on a stranded Thalys just north of Paris. Due to problems with the air conditioning, it became very hot on the defective train.
