After fierce protests, China has abandoned its zero-covid policy and has relaxed its corona rules. For example, the country has reopened its borders and put away the strict quarantine rules. A negative corona test is still necessary to enter China.

China is currently facing a severe wave of infections. With the reopening of the Chinese borders, Thailand expects a new influx of Chinese tourists, especially after the Chinese New Year at the end of January.
Asking for proof of vaccination would be “clumsy”, according to the minister. Unvaccinated travelers are therefore welcome in Thailand.
