A National Football Team will be the guest of Latvia on the road in the 3rd match of EURO 2024 Qualifiers. Nationals arrived in Riga, the capital of Latvia, by private plane before the match to be played on Friday, June 16. While a small number of football fans welcomed the nationals at the airport, the players did not break their requests to sign jerseys and take photos. TFF President Mehmet Büyükekşi made statements to members of the press in Riga. Büyükekşi said, “The mood of our team is very good. I hope we want to return from here with a good win. You know that winning is a must to be successful in football in Germany.”
“OUR GOAL IS TO TAKE BOTH MATCHES”
Saying that they want to win both games, Mehmet Büyükekşi said, “Hopefully, being here brings us good luck. After the victory here, we have a match against Wales in Samsun on Monday. Our goal is to win both games. I hope we leave here with a good result.”

Stating that the National Team broke their misfortune in Latvia, Büyükekşi said, “Last time we broke that bad luck, we won the victory. Our team is the strongest team in Europe. The experience of the team is increasing day by day. Many of our players are currently playing in the best teams in Europe. “Their experience is increasing. Likewise, this season in Turkey, the competition was at the highest level. Of course, these provide a great morale, motivation and experience to our players. I hope that this will reflect on the game here,” he said.
