The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) Arbitration Board announced that PFDK reduced the 9-game penalty to Bursaspor to play without spectators on its own field due to the events in the Amedspor match to 7 games.
With the decision of the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) Professional Football Disciplinary Board (PFDK) on March 9, 2023, Bursaspor was against Amedspor due to the ugly and bad cheer caused by their fans and this action was carried out for the 5th time in the same season in the match where the host club was. 1 match; Due to the field incidents caused by the same Bursaspor supporters and members, and the actions against the instructions, he had given a fine of 326 thousand TL, 8 matches, to play a total of 9 matches, without spectators in his own field. Examining Bursaspor’s objection to the penalties, the TFF Arbitration Board announced that it reduced the penalty for playing 9 games without spectators to 7 games and the fine to 256 thousand TL.
The decision of the TFF Arbitration Board on the subject at the meeting numbered (12) on 14 March 2023 is as follows;
“The objection of the Bursaspor Club Association and its officers Aşkın Değirmenci and Aybars Türkkan to the PFDK’s decision dated 09.03.2023 and numbered E.2022-2023/681 – K.2022-2023/870 was examined. Bursaspor Club Association’s Club President Ömer Furkan Banaz, Club Vice President Rıdvan Gültekin, his deputy Attorney Merve Kübra Durmaz and their officers Aşkın Değirmenci, Aybars Türkkan and their attorneys Attorney Ekin Gürdal were present at the hearing held at 10:00 on the day of the hearing. was seen, verbal statements were taken.
– Due to the ugly and bad cheers caused by Bursaspor Club Association’s supporters and the fact that this action was carried out for the 5th time in the same season in the match where it was the host club, 53/2 of the FDT. As it is understood that there is no misconduct in terms of proof, legal qualification and determination of the penalty in the punishment of playing 1 official match without spectators in its own field and fined with a fine of 6,000,00 TL in accordance with the article, the rejection of the application and the approval of the decision, unanimously,
– Due to the fact that the stairwells of Bursaspor Club Association were not left empty and this action was carried out for the 3rd time in the same season, 49/3 of FDT. Since it was understood that there was no misconduct in terms of the legal characterization and determination of the penalty, the application was rejected and the decision was approved, unanimously,
– Due to the field incidents caused by the supporters and members of Bursaspor Club Association and the action against the instructions, 52/2., 46. and 10/2. There is no wrongdoing in the legal qualification of playing 8 official matches without spectators on their own field and fined with a fine of 280.000,00 TL, but in terms of proportionality of the penalty given with the gravity of the action, the penalty given is to play 6 official matches without spectators in their own field and to play 210.000,00 TL in their own field. It was decided, by majority, to amend it in the form of a fine.”
