Sustainable fashion: pavilions from Pakistan and Taiwan at Avantex Paris

The Avantex changes its format. “The hub will be a different format than the classic trade fair, with more space and screens to present innovative products and solutions. In addition, the ESMOD school will create a space dedicated to the Metaverse under the name ‘Meta-Wear dedicated to digital fashion creation’,” emphasizes Julien Schmoll.

These innovative solutions also include approaches to more responsible fashion. Pakistan and Taiwan will also showcase their sustainable fashion initiatives at Avantex Paris. Fourteen Pakistani companies and six Taiwanese finished goods manufacturers will be exhibiting in their own sustainable pavilions.

A special course is planned for young designers and small businesses using a limited amount of fabrics and accessories. A handmade route is presented for luxury brands looking for higher quality products. “Even though we mainly supply fast fashion brands, we cover the entire spectrum from entry-level to high-end. For example, we will offer very beautiful Indian embroidery and magnificent Chinese silks,” says the Director of Marketing and Communication at Messe Frankfurt.

A conference on the United Nations SDGs

Conferences and rounds of experts around the Agora will complement what the exhibitors have to offer, e.g. B. with topics such as environmental displays, alternatives to synthetic fibers or a United Nations conference on the SDG (Sustainable Development Goals): the guideline for good behavior in all industries.
