Inspired by the Moomin characters, the Japanese-Finnish-Dutch animation series was born Moomin Valley stories In 1990, which follows the adventures of the characters created by Jansson in the Moomin Valley.
The series is mainly based on Mummyto the books and Moomintrollin cartoons, and Tove and Lars Jansson worked closely with Japanese screenwriters and animators.
