Thor: Love and Thunder, the fourth Marvel film about the Norse god, recently hit theaters. At the same time, Hasbro has launched a “Marvel Legends Series” replica in the “Premium Fan” range of Thor’s miracle weapon: Mjölnir, with which the superhero stomps his enemies into the ground. We test the hammer.

Negative:
The somewhat cheaper Hasbro version has padding at least on the two short ends of the batter, so that children can hit their heads without pain. Although the hammer plastic of this version looks like it’s playable, it’s best not to bang it. Mjolnir can’t take it; on the other hand, the plastic does not appear to be noble enough to want to put the weapon in the glass case.
The plastic processing looks a bit rough, the assembled parts have grooves where they shouldn’t be.
Positive:
Mjolnir is advertised as a 1:1 hammer and is about 30 centimeters long, the length of a baton. Actually an advantage, it lies well in the hand and is also very light, especially for children. It’s good to know that the real Thor doesn’t have a long staff in his hand either.
The sound effects are not tinny, but have a good sound. The blue light finds a discreet way through the cracks in the hammer head, so that the light source itself (lamp) cannot be seen.
The audible lightning and thunder signals vary with hand movement, enhancing the action.
