Tesla submerges in water Oslo, help comes from a passing sauna | Abroad

The car fell into the water in the Oslofjord with two occupants on board. The pair were able to climb out of the sinking car when a floating sauna came to the rescue. The Norwegian police announced this.

Floating saunas can be rented on the Oslofjord, some of which are mobile and motorized. “When the car ended up in the water, there were apparently two people inside,” Oslo police wrote on X. “They were rescued by a floating sauna.” Two men from the sauna were able to put on a towel before fishing the unfortunate people out of the water.

The action is captured on film. In the video, filmed from shore by witnesses, the two occupants of the Tesla can be seen taking refuge on the roof of the car as it sinks just before the floating sauna arrives.

According to the newspaper Verdens Corridor the driver thought the car was in park on a quay near the fjord when he pressed the accelerator.

“When I saw what had happened, I accelerated to get to the people who were climbing out of the car,” one of the occupants of the floating sauna, Nicholay Nordahl, told the same newspaper. “We just arrived when the car sank. Then we fished them out. They could warm up in the sauna,” he added. The water must have been cold. This week it will freeze slightly to moderately every night in Oslo.

According to a police official quoted by the media, the two occupants of the Tesla were unharmed.
