Terrifying analysis of Norway’s prodigy – More world records to come

Norway’s prodigy Jakob Ingebrigtsen22, set a very rarely contested 2,000m ME 4:43.13 in the Brussels Diamond League on Friday night.

– He had health problems in Hungary during the World Championships. The blow didn’t go off. Now he left. The end was very good on Friday, says Iltalehti’s athletics expert Arto Bryggare.

Hicham el-Guerrouj, home country Morocco, was an old ME man 4:44.79. The result was born in Berlin’s Olympic Stadium in September 1999.

– For a long time, Jakob had to run alone on Friday. This has always happened in ME companies of one tonne, one mile and three, when the hares don’t have enough rides.

The Norwegian said after his ME bet that “it was the first of many world records to come”.

– I wouldn’t consider it impossible that he will have MEs of 1,500 meters, mile, 2,000 meters and 3,000 meters in the future.

The Mondo show

Armand Duplantis crossed 610 cents in the Brussels Diamond League on Friday. PDO

Armand Duplantis organized a show at the pole position again. The competition lasted almost three hours and there were twenty minutes between the Swedish three ME height attempts (623).

– He got to choose the pace himself. It was tactical TV time. The last attempt was excellent, the expert states.

– I thought that the best blade was gone from “Mondo”. Is not. If the conditions in Eugene in the Diamond League final are as good as in Brussels, ME is realism.

The Swede’s winning score was 610 cents.

In February, at the indoor competition in Clermont-Ferrand, Duplantis made the ME of indoor tracks 622 cents.

In the 2023 outdoor track season, the best result so far is 612 cents from the Ostrava competition in June. The ME of Duplantis outdoor tracks is 621 cm from the 2022 World Championships in Eugene.

Two Finns

Heta Tuuri remained in the shared jumbo place in women’s height with a result of 180 cents.

– Heta has had health problems that have affected the results of the rest of the season. The reason why he is competing should be asked of him.

Camilla Richardson timed 15:13.69 in the 5,000 meter race. She was ranked 12/13 of the women who reached the finish line.

– Three tons went well. The last two tons started to weigh, and the last kilometer should have been able to tighten.

Richardsson’s record from this season is 15.11.63. It is the third best quote in Finnish history.

Above are Annemari Sandell (14.56,22) and Kirsi Valasti (15.10,52).

– He took steps forward this year and did, among other things, the 10,000 meters SE (31.12.78). That’s something to be happy about. Note that Camilla is feeling good.

The runner revealed in Iltalehti’s article last weekend that the main trips of the next season might be the EC half-marathon in Rome and the marathon at the Olympic Games in Paris.

– The half marathon in Rome could be the best trip for him. He lacks the hard drive that is needed if he wants to do well in the 10,000 meters. I’m looking forward to when Camilla runs the road races at the end of 2023.

Crazy results

Although Brussels lacked the world’s top athletes wholesale and there were “only” six recent World Cup gold medalists, Bryggare considered the race to be perhaps the best diamond series medal of the season. There were about 40 recent World Cup medalists from Budapest.

– After the World Championships, the Zurich Diamond League was too close, but Brussels was in a super place. The long curves and fast platform created by the renovated stadium in Brussels served for running, commented the expert.

– The winning results were very hard across the board: the women’s jump 15.01 (Shanieka Ricketts), women’s height 200 centimeters (Jaroslava Mahučih) women’s 200 meters 21.48 (Shericka Jackson), men’s 200 meters 19.79 (Kenneth Bednarek) and women’s javelin 67.38 (Haruka Kitaguchi). The women’s 200 meters in zero wind was like an ME race.

Florence Griffith-Joyner ran the still valid 200m ME 21.34 at the Seoul Olympics in 1988. The Jamaican Jackson got the closest to the magical result so far in Budapest, when he clocked a time of 21.41.
