Tero Pitkämäki’s 8-year-old son threw the javelin world record

Tero Pitkämäki an eight-year-old boy Jimmy threw a record long arc in the javelin throw on Sunday.

Throwing a 400 gram javelin, the world champion’s son got a result of 35.97 meters. Seinäjoki Seudun Urheilijat says that it is a district record for eight-year-olds and an unofficial world record

No official record is kept of world records for under-17s.

– There is no systematic throwing activity, and there is no throwing in winter. The child should be involved in a variety of activities: wrestling, skiing, orienteering and playing games. The boy knows how to throw with a really nice technique, but hang in there.
