Teresa Guccini as Fedez: Thanks to the blood donors

“TOme too without blood donors I wouldn’t be here to tell my story». Teresa Guccini he doesn’t beat around the bush: his latest Instagram posts it’s a social thanks to all donors. A post born after Fedez’s words on the importance of donating blood after his hospitalization for some ulcers, surgery and transfusions.

Fedez returns home after the haemorrhages: «I lost a lot of blood, without donors I wouldn't be here»

Fedez, ulcers and transfusions

«I lost half my blood, without the donors I wouldn’t be here. I will do everything to bring the spotlight to this topic”: these are Fedez’s first words as soon as he left the Fatebenefratelli hospital in Milan. The rapper was hospitalized for some ulcers that have caused internal bleeding. He underwent surgery and received transfusions.

For this reason, his first thought went to blood donors. Donors who, immediately after his words, increased: many, in fact, accepted the appeal to donate blood.

Teresa Guccini as Fedez

Not just donors. Fedez’s words also struck Teresa Guccini. «I am writing these lines inspired by what happened to Fedez» the singer-songwriter’s daughter wrote on Instagram. That she decided to tell his story because she shares the rapper’s thoughts: it is a duty to thank blood donors. Teresa begins her story by posting a photo from December 15, 2022.

«It is the exact moment in which I returned very tired to the obstetrics unit from the intensive care unit and I saw my Pietro again who arrived from the neonatal unit one day after his birth. I was literally destroyed and had no memory” writes the artist’s daughter on social media. What follows, then, is her story of her birth when, after the expulsion of the placenta, «I had a very serious hemorrhage estimated at around 2200cc which it made my hemoglobin drop to 4. Having a hemoglobin of 4 suddenly (the minimum is 12) means you’re one step away from going away” continues. And he points out: «Without 4 blood transfusions and the readiness of the anesthetists, obstetricians, gynecologists and resuscitators I would not have made it.”

Donating blood is essential

«Donating blood is essentialand” writes Teresa again. But there is another reason why she decided to share her experience via social media. «It is essential to rely on organized facilities to give birth because many things can happen during a natural birth and being far from resuscitation and neonatal resuscitation can make the outcome of things worse” he explains.

Addressing in particular those who decide to give birth at home: «It may be romantic but I don’t think it’s a wise choice for your own good and that of your child in times when seconds make the difference. I missed the most beautiful moments, the quiet ones after a natural birth, the ones in which you enjoy your baby on your belly and realize you have had a birth, but I can say that I was lucky in my misfortune. I would like to thank all the hospital staff and donors who allowed me to tell you about it».
