The application center for asylum seekers in Ter Apel is full again on Friday evening. To arrange a place for all people, several crisis emergency shelters are used and people have to spend the night on chairs in a waiting area of the application center.
People have gone to emergency shelters in Gouda and Tiel for shelter. Forty people stay overnight in Gouda and fifty people in Tiel, because there was no more room in Ter Apel.
The application center has been overcrowded for a long time, partly because the flow of permit holders from reception centers to homes is stagnating.
