Tens of thousands of smart meters are not that smart at all: “My meter simply cannot connect to the network”

The smart gas or electricity meter of more than 20,000 families turns out not to be that smart after all. Their meter does not connect to the 4G network. And so the meter readings and consumption are not automatically registered. Grid operator Fluvius is aware of the problem and is working on a solution. “There is nothing wrong with those meters. The problem lies with the coverage of the 4G network,” Fluvius said.
