Davis Cup player Jan-Lennard Struff will start with a wildcard at the ATP tournament in Halle/Westphalia (June 17th to 25th).
Tournament director Ralf Weber thus rewarded Struff’s recent outstanding performance, who, among other things, reached the quarter-finals at the Masters in Monte Carlo by beating fourth-placed Casper Ruud (Norway) in the world.
Alongside Olympic champion Alexander Zverev, Struff is the second German in the main field of the Terra Wortmann Open on the grass courts in East Westphalia.
Stefanos Tsitsipas (Greece/ATP No. 3), Casper Ruud (Norway/No. 4), Daniil Medvedev (No. 5), Felix Auger-Aliassime (Canada/No. 7) and Jannik Sinner ( Italy/No. 8) as well as defending champions Hubert Hurkacz (Poland/No. 13) and Nick Kyrgios (Australia/No. 27).
