Tennis professional Alcaraz with a break before Wimbledon

Spanish tennis pro Carlos Alcaraz will not be playing the lawn tournament at London’s Queen’s Club starting next Monday and will have to wait to prepare for the Grand Slam tournament in Wimbledon.

The reason was elbow problems, the 19-year-old said on Wednesday via Twitter. He hopes to be able to take part in the tournament in 2023. “See you all in the UK in a few days,” he concluded his short message.

Alcaraz had recently celebrated a rapid rise and reached the quarterfinals at the French Open. There he lost to the German number one, Alexander Zverev. Alcaraz has already won four tournaments this year, climbing up to sixth place in the world rankings.
