Four-time Grand Slam winner Naomi Osaka has given birth to her first child.
The 25-year-old confirmed this on Instagram on Thursday. Osaka, who is in a relationship with rapper Cordae, announced her pregnancy in January. In early June, the Japanese revealed that she was expecting a girl.
Now she published a photo of a baby wearing a romper with small tennis rackets and balls on it, lying on her lap.
The child’s name is not yet known – Osaka said last month that she and Cordae would prefer “something rather unusual”.
The two-time winner of the Australian Open and the US Open recently announced that she wanted to be back on the pitch in Melbourne in early 2024. Osaka played their last match in September 2022.
