Struff must be shaking
What a tournament by Jan-Lennard Struff! The German made it through qualifying in Monte Carlo to today’s quarter-finals. In the main round he beat Alex de Minaur and, most recently, Casper Ruud. Against the fourth-seeded Norwegian, the Warsteiner conjured up a fabulous performance for a long time and, after a 6-1 win in the first set, also led 5-2 in the second set. In the end, Struff had to tremble and only won round two in the tie break. It won’t matter to him, as he’s in the quarterfinals of a Masters for the first time in three years.
