The 28-year-old unseeded Italian Trevisan won the quarter-finals between two left-handers on Tuesday 6-2, 6-7 (3-7), 6-3 against the Canadian U.S–Open-Finalist Leylah Fernández. Trevisan, who last in Rabat for the first time WTAtitle is the first Italian semi-finalist in Roland Garros since Sara Errani 2013 and plays against Coco Gauff or Sloane Stephens for a final ticket.
The Americans will face off in the second game of the day. Fernandez missed out on becoming the second Canadian to reach the round of four at Roland Garros after Eugenie Bouchard in 2014.
